Korean Culture and Information Service

INVITATION The Korean Culture and Information Service
of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST)
and the Yonsei Institute for North Korean Studies (YINKS)
will jointly host the 2020 International Symposium
on Sustainable Peace on the Korean Peninsula.
The Symposium will be held December 10 online.

The 2020 Symposium will bring together opinion leaders
from home and abroad, serving as a venue to share insights
and shed light on ways to build sustainable peace on the Korean Peninsula.

Coming a few weeks after the November 3 U.S. presidential election,
the Symposium will facilitate an active exchange of opinions
on the future of ROK-U.S. relations and the situation
on the Korean Peninsula among prominent figures from Korea and abroad,
including former U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Robert Gallucci.

The Symposium will also be a venue for international dialogue
about the best means for achieving sustainable peace
on the Korean Peninsula, such as inter-Korean summits,
denuclearization and a peace settlement
as well as the role culture plays in building peace
and creating a conducive environment.

Due to unprecedented circumstances triggered by the COVID-19 outbreak,
the Symposium will only be available to the public online.

We hope the topics interest you and look forward to your participation.

Thank you.
